Description:
We are looking for a dynamic Project Engineer to join our innovative team to support our new product development projects.
The Project Engineer – main role is to manage projects through the development process coordinating with sourcing, quality, engineering, and manufacturing to deliver the product to the market quickly and efficiently. The launch engineer will need to understand risk mitigation to facilitate on time delivery of the projects.
Responsibilities:
•Monitor and help manufacturing of new products, coordinate tooling, fixtures, new product production planning, and vendor sourcing.
•Coordinate with sourcing and purchasing on purchased parts and manufacturing on manufactured parts.
•Relay assembly status and manufacturing issues back to design engineering team to drive resolution.
•Work with design engineering on refining prototype designs to aid in manufacturability of the product.
•Review new product Engineering Change Order’s to insure Technical Data Package is complete and ready for sourcing/manufacture.
•Create and manage detailed project plans that depict project milestones, critical paths, and deliverables to the organization.
Experience/Skill Requirements:
At least 5 years of experience in product design, direct or indirectly
At least 5 years of experience launching new products into manufacturing
At least 2 years of experience planning / coordinating product production
At least 2 years of experience managing projects with total installed value greater than $5MM
Capable of providing strong leadership based on integrity, humility, and respect for others
Capable of influencing & building partnerships, developing team work and managing others
Organizational effectiveness
Committed to generating real long term value and eliminating waste by economic means
Strong interpersonal and trouble shooting skills
Knowledge of Project Management tools (Estimating, Scheduling, Cost Control, and Cost Engineering).
Strong communication, planning, organizational, and computer skills.
Strong team building skills.
Experience working within a plant/mfg organization
