SIG SAUER® Introduces New Options for SIGM400 Carbine

Four new models join the Classic SIGM400
EXETER, NH (January 2012) —SIG SAUER introduces four new models of the SIGM400 direct
impingement AR-platform rifle system. In addition to the Classic model that is currently on the market,
SIG SAUER will be offering new Enhanced versions, including a sight-ready platform, a short-barrel
version, as well as a hunting model. With so many versions to choose from, users can select the platform
that best suits their needs.

“We’ve been very pleased by the reception the SIGM400 has received by the general shooting public,”
said Jarrod McDevitt, SIG SAUER Product Managers for Rifles. “We originally built the rifle at the request
of several law enforcement agencies who wanted a direct impingement version of a SIG rifle.”

Built with the same style lower as the SIG516®, the SIGM400 offers operators ambidextrous operating
controls, integral quick-detach sling swivel mounts, and a built-in tensioning device between the upper
and lower receivers to maximize accuracy. Chrome-lined barrels keep cleaning to a minimum and
increase operational life.

The first version offered, the SIGM400 Classic, features a detachable carry handle with A2 rear sight,
carbine handguards, an “F”-marked front sight base, and a six-position Mil-Spec carbine buttstock.
The SIGM400 Enhanced models feature flip-up rear sights, Magpul® MOE handguards, buttstocks and
pistol grips. Three versions are available with either black, Olive Drab (OD) or Flat Dark Earth (FDE). The
SIGM400 Enhanced FDE also features a Cerakote® finish to match the Magpul MOE products. These
popular furniture options give the SIGM400 Enhanced a distinctive look and maximum durability.

For those looking for an optic-ready platform, the SIGM400 SRP removes the front sight tower and
replaces it with an M1913 railed front gas block. This sight-ready platform allows the operator to mount
any optic without worrying about the sight tower. The gas block accepts all iron sights designed to work
on the Mil-Spec Picatinny rail.

Hunters who are looking for an AR-style hunting rifle need to look no further than the SIGM400 Hunter.
This rifle offers a match grade 20” barrel, with Magpul MOE rifle length handguards, all in a mixed pine
camouflage pattern.

For a slightly reduced length and distinctive look, the SIGM400 WELD features a 14.5” barrel, with the
same flash suppressor as the classic Swiss Arms SG 550-series rifles permanently pinned and welded for
an overall 16.1” barrel.
